The seam of the glove weakens within 12 months, which is why it has a short shelf life; it takes approximately 3 years to complete decomposition. The film itself is certified as industrially compostable which means it will fully degrade in an industrial composting plant under specific conditions (temperature and humidity).
Under industrial controlled composting the product will fully biodegrade to water, biomass and carbon dioxide.
The film has been certified as industrially compostable according to the European standard EN 13432.
