When should mops and cloths be disinfected?

512 views  October 22, 2019

Cloths should be disinfected or washed at a high temperature (at least 60°C) after each use, making sure to let them fully dry before they’re used again. Mops should be thoroughly cleaned and allowed to dry after each use, although you may not always need to disinfect them.

You may need to disinfect your mop more regularly depending on the environment. For example, in hospitals, healthcare facilities or food preparation environments, mops may need to be disinfected after each use in line with infection control or cross-contamination prevention procedures.
