Is kitchen roll lint free?

233 views  October 22, 2019

Although it depends on the brand and type you buy, most kitchen roll products are not completely lint free. However, some types of kitchen roll are very low linting, which means they produce less lint than other types of cleaning wipes or tissue.

Many cloths leave tiny particles of fabric or material behind, also known as lint. This can make surfaces such as windows and worktops appear ‘dusty’. The less lint a cleaning cloth produces, the clearer and shinier the surface will be when you’ve finished cleaning it.

When choosing a low linting kitchen roll, make sure you also look for a product that is strong and super absorbent. These qualities stop the kitchen roll from disintegrating on contact with water or during cleaning, as this can leave residue behind.

Kitchen roll is fantastic for everyday cleaning, mopping up spills and leaving a pleasing shine on surfaces. However, for glass or window cleaning, a specialist microfibre lint-free cloth may be the best option.
