Dishwasher tablets have to do many different jobs, from removing stains to making sure that glassware comes out sparkling. To do this, they contain a number of different active ingredients. Most contain enzymes to break down protein and starch-based foods, bleaches to remove bleachable stains and builders to clean and deal with water hardness. They also contain surfactants, which help to clean glassware effectively, and additional ingredients such as disintegrants to help them dissolve quickly in the dishwasher.
Once a cycle is started, the tablet is dissolved in the water and starts to clean, remove stains, deal with water hardness and leave a pleasing shine on your dishware and glasses.
