Can air fresheners cause allergies?

183 views  October 21, 2019

Some air fresheners contain toxins and volatile organic compounds that can exacerbate allergy symptoms. They can also potentially aggravate certain respiratory conditions such as asthma.

If you’re worried about allergies and how you’ll be affected by air fresheners, choose a product that only uses natural fragrance oils or that is designated an allergy-friendly air freshener. It could also be a good idea to look at using odour neutralisers instead.
